8.4.2. Restoration of an anticorrosive and antinoise covering of a bottom of a body and arches of wheels

In use the car the covering on the bottom of a body is affected by gravel, sand, salt, moisture. As a result mastic and soil are damaged and erased. The bared metal is exposed to corrosion.
At damages of a covering of a plastisol of D-11A without violation of a layer of earth clear the damaged sites of dirt and apply with airless dispersion or a brush a plastisol on a dry surface. Dry a plastisol at a temperature of 130 °C within 30 min. Drawing instead of a plastisol of antinoise BPM-1 mastic which drying can take place under natural conditions is allowed.
Before restoration of a covering install the car on the elevator, carefully examine a bottom of a body and reveal defects of a covering. Clear a body bottom of dirt, remove a rust with the pallet, a skin or rust solvent according to the instruction. Obduyte body bottom compressed air.
Install the car on the elevator in the camera for putting mastic and remove wheels. Close drums and disks of brakes protection covers, isolate dense paper and an adhesive tape the cardan transfer, mufflers, cables and other places which are not subject to processing by mastic.
The rags moistened in white spirit degrease the places which are smoothed out to metal.
Apply on the smoothed-out places with dispersion or a brush GF-073 soil and sustain 5–10 min. Then apply with dispersion or manually (a brush or the pallet) BPM-1 mastic on defective places a layer of 1,0-1,5 mm. Overlapping on an old coat layer (D-11A) has to be minimum.
In cold season to sustain mastic before the use in the warm room before temperature increase it is not below 20 °C. In case of solidification of mastic dilute it with a xylol, but no more than 3%.
Clear a paint and varnish covering of pollution by mastic the rags moistened in white spirit. Dry mastic at a temperature of 100-110 °C within 30 min. or at 18–28 °C not less than 24 h.
