8.2.2. Repair of the deformed surfaces of details

Repair of the damaged details of a body is made by an extract, a rikhtovka, editing with metal shrinkage, cutting of the sites which are not giving in to repair, production of repair inserts from the discarded details of a body or sheet metal with giving to it of the got into condition detail.
The deformed places of panels correct, as a rule, manually by means of the special tool (metal, plastic, wooden hammers and various mandrels) and devices.
Editing with heating is used for an osazhivaniye (tightening) of strongly stretched surfaces of panels. For prevention of a sharp vspuchivaniye and deterioration in mechanical properties of the panel heat to 600–650 °C (cerise color). Diameter of a heated spot has to be no more than 20-30 mm.
You make tightening of surfaces as follows:
– a coal electrode of an automatic welding semiautomatic device or a gas torch heat metal from the periphery to the center of the defective site and blows of a wooden kiyanka and the hammer rebuff heated places, using flat support or an anvil;
– repeat operations of heating and an osazhivaniye before receiving a necessary surface of the panel.
Roughnesses on panels can be leveled by means of polyester fillings, thermoplastic, epoxy mastics of cold hardening and by means of solder.
Polyester fillings like Hempropol-P or PE-0085 form reliable connections with the panels which are smoothed out to metal. They represent two-component materials: nonsaturated polyester pitch and a hardener which is the catalyst of bystry hardening of mix. Temperature in the working room should not be below 18 °C. It is necessary to use the prepared polyester filling on time no more than in 10 min. It finally hardens in 60 min. after drawing. Thickness of a layer of filling should not exceed 2 mm.
Thermoplastic is produced in the form of powder. The elastic properties necessary for drawing it on the metal surface of the panel, gains at a temperature of 150-160 °C. The surface which is subject to filling has to be carefully cleared of a rust, scale, old paint and other pollution. Adhesion of thermoplastic is better to the rough surface of metal. For putting thermoplastic the site which is subject to alignment is heated to 170–180 °C and put the first layer of powder which is rolled a metal skating rink. Then put the second layer and so on before roughness filling. Each layer is rolled before receiving a monolithic layer of plastic. After hardening the layer is processed by usual methods.
Solders like ПОССу 18–2 or ПОССу 25–2 are applied to alignment of the sites which are earlier filled with solder, building of edges of details and elimination of gaps.
At considerable damages of the panel replace new with use of electric welding in the environment of protective gases.
