6.7.3. Check of technical condition of details

Clear all details and attentively check their state: whether there are no signs of wear, damages or corrosion. Pay special attention to the surface of the piston and cylinder. At their wear, damage or strong corrosion replace the cylinder and the piston. From the cylinder case remove corrosion with a wire brush.

Check the directing fingers 11 (see fig. 6.12) and their covers 10. Make sure that on fingers there are no corrosion and damages that they do not jam in guide openings. Fingers have to move freely. In case of their corrosion and damages replace fingers and protective covers new.
Check a condition of a brake disk. On its working surface teases and deep risks, and also other damages from which wear of slips increases are not allowed or efficiency of braking decreases. Check the disk thickness which has to be not less than 10,8 mm. If thickness less specified, replace a disk. Grinding or a pro-point of a disk is allowed, but at the same time both parties have to be processed on identical depth, and thickness of a disk should not be less than 10,8 mm. You carry out a pro-point with use of adaptation 67.7141.9500.
Replace brake shoes new at breakage of the drawing-in springs, at wear of slips to thickness of 1,5 mm. Replace blocks at the same time on both brake mechanisms (both couples of blocks).
