6.1.4. Brake mechanism of a forward wheel

Fig. 6.6. Brake mechanism of a forward wheel: 1 – brake disk; 2 – guide of blocks; 3 – support; 4 – brake shoes; 5 – cylinder; 6 – piston; 7 – sealing ring; 8 – a protective cover of the directing finger; 9 – the directing finger; 10 – protection cover

Disk, with automatic adjustment of a gap between blocks and a disk, with a floating bracket and a signaling device of wear of brake shoes. The bracket is formed by a support of 3 (fig. 6.6) and the wheel cylinder 5 which are pulled together with bolts. The mobile bracket fastens bolts to fingers 9 which are established in openings of a guide of blocks. In these openings lubricant is put, between fingers and a guide of blocks rubber covers 8 are established. To grooves of a guide brake shoes 4 are drawn in by springs, the internal block has a signaling device of wear of a slip.
In a cavity of the cylinder 5 the piston 6 with a sealing ring 7 is installed. Due to elasticity of this ring the optimum gap between blocks and a disk is supported.
