Rubber diaphragm of 10 (fig. 6.2) together with the case of 21 valves divide a cavity of the vacuum amplifier into two cameras: vacuum And yes atmospheric Century. The camera A connects to an inlet pipe of the engine.

At the expense of pressure difference in cameras A and B the case of the valve moves together with a rod 1 which affects the piston of the main cylinder.
