Bearings of differential have to be mounted with a preliminary tightness of 0,25 mm (for control of 0,15-0,35 mm). The tightness is provided with selection of thickness of an adjusting ring 18 (see fig. 3.7), the transmission case established in a nest under an external ring of the bearing of differential.

       NOTE
You carry out selection of thickness of an adjusting ring when replacing one of the following details: boxes of differential, bearing of differential and cases of coupling or transmission.

Determine thickness of an adjusting ring by adaptation 67.7824.9517 in the following sequence:

– press an external ring of the roller conic bearing 3 together with an adjusting ring of 4 (fig. 3.19) in a transmission case;

       NOTE
The adjusting ring 4 has the constant thickness equal of 1,25 mm.

– press an external ring of other bearing of differential in a coupling case;
– establish differential in a case of the transmission and, having closed its case of coupling, tighten not less than three nuts equidistanted from each other, fixing a transmission case to a coupling case [the moment of an inhaling of 24,5 N · m (2,5 kgfs · l)]. Then turn differential for self-installation of bearings on 2–3 turns;
– establish a basic mandrel 2 on a box of differential and fix by means of a universal derzhavka the indicator 1 with the extender. Establish a leg of the indicator on a basic mandrel with the preliminary tightness equal to 1 mm, and in this situation fix the indicator, and it set an arrow to zero;
– move from below differential and you monitor the indication of the indicator;

       PREVENTION
At measurement of axial movement of differential do not turn it not to distort results of measurement.

On a formula S = And + In + With count thickness of an adjusting ring of bearings of differential,
where S — thickness of an adjusting ring;
       And — the size of axial movement of differential;
       In — the size of a preliminary tightness of bearings of differential;
       With — thickness of an adjusting ring (constant).
Example. The indication of the indicator when moving differential is equal to 1,00 mm. The size of a preliminary tightness of bearings of differential is equal to 0,25 mm, thickness of an adjusting ring – 1,25 mm:
S = 1,00 + 0,25 + 1,25 = 2,50 mm.
After determination of thickness of an adjusting ring, separate a case of coupling and the transmission, remove differential, 67.7801.9526 external ring of the bearing from a case of the transmission and instead of an adjusting ring 4 establish to a vypressuyta by a stripper the picked-up adjusting ring. Press a mandrel 67.7853.9575 external ring of the bearing of differential and establish differential in a case of the transmission and, having closed its case of coupling, tighten nuts of fastening of the transmission to a coupling case.
Check a dynamometer 02.7812.9501 moment of resistance to a differential provorachivaniye. For what pass a dynamometer tip through a differential box opening (for a wheel drive shaft) to coverage to them an axis of satellites. Turn the dynamometer handle on several turns clockwise and determine the moment of resistance to a provorachivaniye by a scale. It has to be: for new bearings of 147-343 N · cm (15–35 kgfs · cm), for the earned extra bearings of at least 30 N · cm (3 kgfs · cm).
