2.11.1. Features of the device

Fig. 2.45. Main sizes of a head of cylinders and details of the mechanism of the drive of valves, mm

The main sizes of a head of cylinders and details of the mechanism of the drive of valves are given in fig. 2.45.

Fig. 2.46. Mechanism of the drive of valves: 1 – head of cylinders; 2 – valve; 3 – pusher; 4 – case of bearings of the camshaft; 5 – camshaft; 6 – adjusting washer; 7 – maslootrazhatelny cap; And — a gap between a cam and an adjusting washer

The head of cylinders is cast from aluminum alloy, has the pressed pig-iron saddles and the directing plugs of valves. The top part of plugs is condensed with metal-rubber maslootrazhatelny caps of 7 (fig. 2.46).
In spare parts the directing plugs are delivered with the outer diameter increased by 0,02 mm.
In the top part of a head of cylinders five support under camshaft necks are located. Support are executed by demountable. The top half is in cases of bearings 4 (forward and back), and lower in a head of cylinders. Openings in support are processed assembled with cases of bearings therefore they are not interchanged and the head of cylinders can be replaced only assembled with cases of bearings.
Mechanism of the drive of valves. Valves 2 are put in action by camshaft cams through cylindrical pushers 3. In a nest of a pusher there is a washer 6 for adjustment of a gap in the mechanism of the drive of valves.
